So far I have been getting around no problem with the bike and backpack in tow. Other than the few odd looks when I venture into a store or stop in at the Tim's for coffee and a muffin its been pretty good. I like being a pedal pusher. It gives you an odd sense of accomplishment being able to say that yes I used my own power to get from here to there. It also makes me feel pretty good that I didn't have to use any gas to go around to do any shopping. Having to ride certainly makes me careful about how I plan my day and how I am able to get around. Of course, once school begins I imagine that this will change drastically.

Oh, Oh, the rain has begun again! Man why can't it quit! Anyways, I have learned that bike shorts are awesome. They are padded in the right places (hint hint). Also, my bike needs some fenders or I am going to end up with that end up with a skunk stripe up my back everytime I ride through some water. Especially this summer.

Since I have been logging my workouts/rides on Mapmyride.com, I have about 20km down in my goal. That means about 180 km to polish off before the summer ends. (I won't say when school ends). I may have to change the end date of this goal. What do you guys think? How should I reward myself at the end of this goal? Some feedback would be great!
